Roster

 

1.0 General

1.1     All teams must carry a 53-man active player roster and 12-player Practice Squad at all times during the season

1.2     Practice Squad stealing is conducted through the Waiver Claim system

1.2.1  Practice Squad players cannot be included in trades
1.2.2  Players that exceed the league’s Trade Cap limit cannot be placed on the Practice Squad

 

 

2.0 Players Changes/Edits

2.1     Position Changes: No changes can be made to a player’s position without league consent (submit a roster change request)

2.2     Position changes can only be requested during the pre-season and until the trade deadline.

2.2.1  New GM’s will get an exemption to 2.2 for their first three game weeks after taking over their team

2.3     GM’s can purchase a rookie name change

2.3.1  Names cannot be the name of a real sports figure or celebrity

2.3.2  Names must be considered realistic and not offensive

2.3.3  All name changes must be approved by the league

2.4     No changes to physical attributes including height, weight, age, left/right-handedness or throw style can be made to a player

2.5     [The Coby Rule] All player edits of any kind (numbers, equipment, etc.) must be streamed and tagged as “Player Edits”.

 

 

3.0 Depth Chart / In-game Substitutions

3.1     Sub LB must be a LB/DE
3.2     Each team must have a FB listed on their roster. A TE may be able to be reassigned as a FB if they meet the position requirements (87 or less speed, 60 or better run blocking). Position must be changed in the system and posted under Position Changes in Discord.
3.3     RLE/RRE can be filled by LB or DL

 

 

4.0 Player Re-Signing

4.1 Each GM may re-sign current players in the best interest of their team. Consider long term team financial health when re-signing players, the league does not clear cap penalties due to bad contracts.

 

 

5.0 Pre-Season Free Agent Bidding

5.1     Maximum contact length is 5 years
5.1.1   EXCEPTION:  Players over 35 years old can only be given 1 or 2 season contracts
5.2     Minimum FA offer must be in yellow or green (orange is an illegal bid)
5.2.1   Maximum FA offer is capped at 25% over player’s original expected amount
5.2.2   EXCEPTION:  Superstar QB’s under 28 years old and all X-Factor players have the maximum bid increased to 50% over the expected amount
5.2.3   Maximum bids are determined by cost per season, it is illegal to give a player 4 years worth of salary over 2 season to circumvent the rule
5.3   Each GM is required to maintain a budget to field a 53-man team, full practice squad, and sign their rookies. Teams over budget will be forced to release their most expensive player and will incur the penalty cap expense
5.4   Violations will result in the team dropping the player and being charged a 1-year penalty.

 

 

6.0 Free Agent Pool / Waiver Claims

6.1     During the Pre-Season teams can only sign free agents to meet roster requirements and fill out their practice squads (cannot drop players to pickup additional players)
6.2     During normal season weeks there will be a 24-hour Waiver Claim after each advance. During the first 12-hours teams may put a claim in for any player in the Free Agent pool and/or on another team’s practice squad, during the subsequent 12-hours teams may block any claims on their players. At the end of the 24-hours valid claims will be awarded.
6.2.1  If the player being claimed is on another team’s practice squad they must @ the current GM to notify them they are talking to their player
6.2.2   The current GM may block the claim by promoting the player to their team, but the player must stay on their active roster for three weeks (unless traded away to another team during that time)
6.2.3   If more than one team claims a player, the winner will be determined by the previous draft order for the first three weeks and then the current league standings for the remainder of the season
6.2.4   Once the Waiver Claim window has closed, all unclaimed Free Agents are available to be signed, however, practice squad players are off-limits

6.2.5   Except for the first week of the season, GM’s may only make two Free Agents claims per week via the Waiver Claims process, any remaining roster needs have to be filled after the claim window has passed

6.2.6   You must sign the player you claim to your 53-man roster before your next game after the claim has been awarded. Failure to sign the player to your roster will result in a suspension from the waiver system for two weeks and from protecting players on your squad for one week

6.2.7   Players acquired thru the waivers from another team’s practice squad must remain on the active roster for three games. Violations will result in a suspension from the waiver system for two weeks and from protecting players on your squad for one week

6.2.8   Once a waiver claim is placed, it cannot be withdrawn

 

 

7.0 Player Cuts

7.1     Players with an Overall Rating over 75 cannot be cut
7.1.1  Exception: Any player 28 years and older may be cut

7.2     GM’s can purchase one Player Contract Buyout per season and exercise it at the end of the season

7.2.1  Contract buyout players must be submitted to the commissioners prior to the Free Agent Re-Signing period

7.2.2  Player must enter the FA signing pool for all teams to bid on
7.2.3  The original team can attempt to re-sign the player from the FA pool along with all teams, normal minimum bid applies

7.2.4  Each GM has one buyout per season
7.2.5  GM’s cannot use this on a player that they have signed during their tenure
7.3     GM’s can purchase up to two (2) Contract Restructures per season

7.3.1   Player must by 28 years or older and cannot be used on a player signed by the current GM during their first season of the contract

 

 

8.0 Uniform Numbers

8.1     Uniform numbers must follows NFL protocol
